Description
The iSF6-718 quantative SF6 detector precisely adopts non-dispersive infrared (NDIR principle), allowing it to accurately measure the SF6 concentration in the air, and indicates the value on a graphic display in ppmv. The instrument has pre-search mode and in measurement mode, It allows precise localization of leaks by searching the highest SF6 concentration; just press the button, and it will enter "measurement mode" in which the leakage can be precisely located. Thanks to the high accuracy and the low detection limit it is possible to carry out integral measurements as well as measurements for determination of leakage rates.
To protect the device from being contaminated, the sensor is equipped with a filter which can be cleaned and/or exchanged easily by the operator. In case there is existing SF6 contamination, the iSF6-718 can be adjusted to this value prior to testing. Thus, it is possible to detect leakages even in already contaminated areas. The SF6 concentration is indicated in ppmv as well as by warnings of sound, light and vibration.
